Approach guide: Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal Int'l Airport DAC VGHS

You guys already know that I live close to Dhaka International Airport. Because of this, I've flown in and out of this airport quite a few times, in the flight simulator and real life. So today let's talk about how to approach into VGHS in the flight simulator (please do not follow these instructions in real life. Otherwise, you might break your neck).

If you approach Dhaka from the West (that's how you should do it) and you're over a place called the Savar Union, descend to 5,000 feet. When you're near a place called টঙ্গী on the NAV map before the runway, you should be at 1,000 feet (টঙ্গী is pronounced 'Tongi' in English).

When the approach lights begin, you should have descended to 500 feet. I fly there mostly with the A350-1000 XWB, so if you're like me, remember to not to land late. If possible, make the landing as hard as you can without partially deflating a.k.a. breaking the landing gear, as the FS model for the A350-1000 XWB is quite realistic on the physics side, so it takes a long time to break. When you land a plane in GeoFS, it's smart not to apply the brakes, as most aircraft in GeoFS stop faster that real life if brakes are applied.
