Good day, my dear sir (joke)! Today we're gonna discuss aviation in Antarcatica.
Antarctica is pretty much the land of weird. Even the aviation in this place is weird.
Rocket engines (give me a break!)
C-130s that fly to this place is are equipped with rocket engines. Why, you ask? Because to take off on the slick slippery snowy landscape, you need a jet engine, which the C-130 doesn't have. That's why it's equipped with rocket engines: to take off.
2. Be careful with the brakes!
You wouldn't want to go ice skating with a 757 on snow, would you? That's why, when you're landing in Antarctica, you gotta be real careful with the brakes, so you don't go skidding (or skating).
3. Cut costs to the backbone
Yes, you read that right, fuel price is lower in Antarctica! Just kidding, you have to load less fuel to fly in Antarctica because the air so dense that you can get to takeoff speed at only 50% power! The jet engines suck in more dense air (Explain001) which creates more dense thrust! Interesting, eh?
So this was the funny-bone-tickling post about Antarctica. Hope you Antarcticjoyed!

You see the rocket engines?
This is awesome!
