If you want to become a pilot, you'll have to go through a lot of sim training. But these professional flight simulators can sometimes cost as much as 10 million dollars. Luckily, there are a ton of amateur flight simulators, like RFS, Microsoft Flight SImulator 2020, X-plane 11, Infinite Flight, etc. But these cost a pretty penny too. The standard version of MSFS2020 costs $59.99. Don't even get me started on the deluxe version, which costs... hold on to your hats... $120.00 dollars!
Luckily, there are also a bunch of free flight sims. Take Google Earth Flight SImulator. It has some verry good scenery, but the problem is that it comes with only 2 planes and you don't have cockpit view or even outside view. Then there's X-plane 10, which is very good, since it has outside view AND cockpit view, plus it has functioning cockpit equipment. But the downside is that it only comes with a Cirrus VisionJet SF50 and a Cessna 172. To get access to the airliners, you have to buy them. But GeoFS solves these problems. It has some good scenery, it has cockpit view and outside view, and it also has a TON of planes. I think there might be at LEAST 40+ planes in GeoFS. While you do have to pay 10 Euros a month if you want better HD scenery, the scenery is not necessarily the type you can live without. And the best part is, you don't have to download anything. All you have to do to play is go to their website, geo-fs.com and press the FLY! button. Boom. You're in the sim. You can even use a joystick.
