How to start planespotting

Ok, I'm sorry I'm writing so irregularly, but here's today's topic: planespotting

I myself am a planespotter. Today I'm gonna tell you how to get started.

  1. Get the right gear

So, unless you're just doing this for fun, this step is very important. You'll definitely need a pair of binoculars. You'll also need a camera if you want to become a member of the planespotting community. I use a Nikon Coolpix P500 as my primary and only camera

2. The perfect spot

So I live directly Southeast from Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. This means that the planes pass at the perfect angle to my primary station on the roof of my house for some pretty good banking shots

3. FlightRadar24

This is very important. FlightRadar24 is, as you might know, a website in which you can track flights in real-time. It has been immensely helpful to me. I can see as the plane lines up on the runway and keep my camera ready at just the right time.

So that's how you get started on planespotting. Keep a lookout for the next post!
