I don't feel like writing an intro for this post, so lert's get right to the point
Videos
Please, unless you're close up to the airplane, DO NOT FILM VIDEOS. Please! One thing I've learned from using my Nikon P500 is that you have to get to the right zoom before starting the video, or use no zoom at all! Once you've started the video, you can only use digital zoom, which might not be the best type of zoom.
2. The right spot
So if you want to get some good airplane photos, don't be 5 miles away from the airport. In my photos, I'm like 600 feet away from the airplane. As I said in an earlier post, all the flights going out from my home airport need to bank one way or the other. Most domestic flights in Dhaka go to Cox's Bazar or Chattogram. They need to bank just a tad to get on the right track. If you take off from runway 14 from Dhaka airport, you go directly south, and there isn't a lot of stuff directly south from Dhaka, so all of the planes have to bank.

3. The right camera
A cheap and good starter camera for planespotting is the Nikon Coolpix P500, which I use. You can buy it for 402 Euros. Altough I've seen better microphones on cameras, it's not the worst, you know.
